WORK IN PROGRESS

This level started as a testbed for learning Unreal Engine 4, experimenting with virtual reality, and developing an art style that is different from what I've been doing on Skylanders for the last seven years.

This scene was inspired by the adventure game Life is Strange.  It's a recreation of my grandparents' Delhi apartment, put together from the memories of multiple family members.  This will be my mother's first experience with VR.

With Albert Chen's multiple camera setup, the player can stand in different parts of the one-room apartment and look out from the windows at the world outside.

Reconstruction from Memory

My mom and her brothers put together this blueprint of the apartment they grew up in.  There are no photos of the inside to base the reconstruction from.

WORK IN PROGRESS
This scene is a retake on a fictional San Francisco background I did for the live action adventure game Quaternity twenty years ago. This time around I'm inspired by the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and the movie Blade Runner 2049.

WORK IN PROGRESS

My last look-around in-cockpit perspective was done for Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.  My friend Albert Chen created multi-camera VR system that lets the user sit inside the cockpit, sit in the rear turret, and look at this spacecraft from the outside.

This project is a collaboration with concept artist Pat Presley.

Lander

Lander

WORK IN PROGRESS
This project is a collaboration with concept artist Soosa Kim.

With Albert Chen's multi-camera VR setup, the user is able to stand on the landing pad, sit inside the Lander, and get a back 3/4 view of the Lander's engine area.
